On 7 November 2023, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) tackled the pressing theme of "Democracy in the Climate Crisis". The event featured diverse perspectives on the topic through workshops, a Climate Poetry Slam, a panel discussion and Pecha Kucha presentations. Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler participated in the panel discussion, making it a significant highlight.

The day showcased the interconnectedness of politics, science, media, and society, emphasizing collective efforts. Participants, including sustainability initiatives and nominees for the BOKU Sustainability Prize 2023, presented solutions and positive examples.
