The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) together with the Social Innovation Center ArantzazuLab is developing a Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) to foster transition skills that are necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. With financial support from a CA Micro Fund, a workshop was organized with Prof. Jorge Riechmann (Autonomous University of Madrid). The keynote is also available as a video.
The design process for the MOOC started with a workshop at ArantzazuLab on 21 June 2021. The ambition was to (a) secure the participation and support of different groups and interests, (b) discuss the potential and limitations of MOOCs in education for sustainability, and (c) exchange knowledge and experiences with CA members. The workshop featured a keynote by Prof. Jorge Riechmann (Autonomous University of Madrid), co-director of the Master in Ecological Humanities, Sustainability and Ecosocial Transition. In two rounds of discussion, attendants from UPV/EHU commented on and discussed the keynote. A 25-minute video with English subtitles is available here: https://youtu.be/1Xb9BgZ5xbQ
