Resources for climate resilience education

Climate anxiety is real – and educators need tools to respond. The project CLARITY has delivered three open-access resources to support transformative climate resilience education. Discover the CLARITY Toolbox with ready-to-use activities, the Teacher’s Guide grounded in trauma-informed pedagogy, and a self-paced course with community and certification. Educators can also express interest in upcoming online CLARITY Teacher Training programmes planned for 2026. These materials help learners build resilience, agency, and collective capacity for change together.

The European educational project CLARITY, co-led by Lund University, One Resilient Earth, REAL School Budapest, Climate Creativity, Legacy17, and The Vision Works, aims to enhance educators’ skills for dealing with climate anxiety and nurturing the inner resilience of learners, while supporting concrete collective actions from learners towards more climate resilience and ecosystem regeneration. Three open-access pedagogical resources are now available:

  • The CLARITY toolbox which guides teachers and educators to nurture emotional resilience, imagination, connection and collective action, one practical activity at a time. It offers ready‑to‑use activities that integrate different disciplines like psychology, arts, and science, helping educators nurture emotional resilience alongside transformative knowledge and skills.
  • The CLARITY teacher's guide which introduces the core ideas behind transformative climate resilience education and explains how to work with the CLARITY toolbox in a thoughtful, trauma-informed way. It offers background knowledge, pedagogical guidance and practical suggestions to help teachers and educators integrate the five CLARITY competence areas into their teaching.
  • The CLARITY self-paced course open to all teachers and educators, which gives access to introduction videos, the CLARITY teacher's guide, CLARITY toolbox, an online community and a certificate of completion.

Educators are also invited to join the online interactive CLARITY Teacher Training programme. Feel free to express interest directly by clicking on the link. A new edition of the Teacher Training is likely to take place in Spring and/or Fall 2026.
