GavleRodrigo Lozano of the University of Gävle is seeking universities or faculties interested in participating in a survey, and ultimately in producing a chapter in a book on Strategies for Sustainability. The deadline for a notice of interest is 25 May.

 


There has been considerable progress in the incorporation of sustainable development (SD) into higher education institutions’ curricula. This has included research on competences for SD and pedagogical approaches used; however, there has been limited research on the connection between how pedagogical approaches are used and how these approaches may support development of sustainability competences. We carried out a survey of European Higher Education Institutions to investigate how sustainability was being taught, how sustainability competences were being developed, and what pedagogical approaches were being used (for the results please check https://www.mdpi.com/2071-1050/11/6/1602). We, now, would like to have an institutional perspective through case studies. This time our focus is on all teachers, not just those who teach sustainability.
